Look no farther because there are some running tips for beginners on this article. The very first running tip you need to have is the running shoes you wear while running. A good pair of running shoes will cost anywhere from $50 to $110. You should make sure that you try on both shoes before you buy them to make sure they fit properly.

Unlike street shoes, running shoes should be a bit looser about the width of your thumb at the top of the shoe so that you can wiggle your toes. They should also hold your foot securely and the shape of the shoe should fit the shape of your foot.

Other important running tips to remember are the clothes you wear. When the weather is warm, you should wear nylon shorts and a light colored synthetic material. This material does not hold moisture from sweating as you run.

If you are just beginning a fitness program with running, you may have to walk for the first few weeks until you build up your endurance and can walk continuously for 20 minutes. Once you do start running, you should never increase your mileage by more than 10% per week. You should start out with three days a week and then alternate days with running and other fitness exercises.

When you are running, you should also:

  • Keep your head up this lets you run faster
  • Keep your shoulders in, your arms relaxed and dont clench your fists
  • Encourage yourself along the way, even if this means talking to yourself
  • Run your own race not in competition with someone else.
  • Take care of any injuries
